Selkie Original Giclee
This is a giclee of the etching Selkie . The original is available framed in 2” light oak frames made by a professional woodworker and is available under the "Original Framed Work" Tab under "Shop".
Giclees are archival, professional grade digital images printed in 2000 dpi by a Canon printer on matte photo paper.
Etching is a printmaking process in which a zinc or copper plate is incised using acid to produce grooves that make an image. Ink is then wiped onto the plate, and then polished off, leaving ink trapped in the grooved marks only. The plate is then run with damp paper through a printing press to produce a print. Original prints are limited by the breakdown of the plate, and are considered original works of art.
